Zunheboto, July 18 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Shanavas C (IAS) has informed all concerned that free and unrestricted movement of cattle and dogs in and around Zunheboto Town is banned as per the meeting held with GBs on July 12 at DC’s conference hall here.
A period of ten days, i.e., till July 22 (Sunday) has been given for controlling the movement and confining of the cattle and dogs by the respective owner within the given period.
After the expiry of the period, i.e., from July 23, any stray cattle or dogs seen roaming will be shot without any further notice and no complaints will be entertained for non-compliance of the directive, the DC stated in a directive, according to a DIPR report.
The DC pointed out that cattle and dogs move unrestrictedly and trespass into private and public properties littering the town with their droppings. Similarly, dogs feed on garbage pile and litter the area creating unhygienic and filthy environment, he added.
DC orders removal of vehicles, construction materials from roads
The Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto has in pursuance of the meeting with the GBs held on July 12 also directed all the vehicle owners concerned to remove vehicles parked in public roads/areas and construction materials dumped in public places/roads by July 22, 2018 (Sunday), failing which fine will be levied and the vehicle towed away and materials removed. This order comes into effect immediately.
