DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 5 (MExN): A one day sensitization programme on gender for VLO, women organization, council members, student body, church leaders and SHG members on October 3 at town hall Pughoboto.
The resource persons for the programme were Asha Ramesh, NRP (gender); Shihani Tsuipu, BPM Akuluto block; Ghokheli Shohe, BPM Akuhaito block; and Kanitoli Chishi, BPM Ghathashi block. The participants were sensitized on gender related issues and problems faced by the present society and how women should be part of the development process and how NRLM will be integrating gender issue within the framework of NRLM.
The participants were made aware of the different violence against women that occurs in society. The programme was attended by DMMU staffs, BMMU staffs, VLO members, church leaders, council members, GBs and SHG members.
