GHS Burma Camp students attend animation programme

Dimapur, June 22 (MExN): The two-day animation programme of Don Bosco Institute for Development and Learning (DBIDL), Dimapur for Government High School Burma Camp was held at Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur on June 19-20. DBIDL is organizing the animation programme for class 10 students of ten selected Government High Schools in Dimapur district.  

Being the pilot batch of the whole training, the students witnessed the District Education Officer of Dimapur flagging off the programme with motivational speech on June 19, informed a press release from Limayangla Tzudir, Head Mistress, GHS Burma Camp.  

40 class 10 students of GHS Burma Camp attended the two-day programme with curiosity and great enthusiasm, it said.  

Stating that the programme was a new learning experience for the students as it gave them an opportunity to come out of their comfort zone and learn from erudite resource persons, the release added that students' mass participation and positive results were observed as they overcame their inhibitions and displayed boldness, confidence, presence of mind and actively participated in a series of activities and games.  

The programme focused on varied important topics: Communication and social media - by Father Jonas, Media Coordinator, Bosco B.Ed College Dimapur; Team building and conflict management/anger management - by Father Varghese, Director DBIDL, Dimapur; Time management and self discipline - by Sister Rency, Vice principal, St. Mary's Hr Sec School, Padampukhri; Personality development/developing positive attitudes - by Menon, Assistant Teacher, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Dimapur.  

At the end of the programme, students expressed their gratitude through a short speech by Litoli on behalf of the students, and also by teacher Rongsenkala on behalf of the school. Students also submitted their written feedback.  

The Head Mistress of GHS Burma camp, teaching faculty, and students have lauded the DBIDL and various resource persons for organising such an innovative learning programme for the students.
