Phek, September 19 (MExN): Government Higher Secondary School, Phek kick started its annual sports week with Phek Deputy Commissioner, Orenthung Lotha, who also the chairman of the school, as the guest speaker at Phek Local Ground on 19th September 2018.
Speaking on the occasion, he congratulated all the students who passed out with flying colors in the recent academic session. He said that sports is equally important for all round development.He also congratulated the teaching faculty for their excellent job during the last academic year and called upon them to continue to do well. He wished the best to all the four houses participating in the event : Belgium house, England house, France house and Germany house.
Earlier, he unfurled the tournament flag and lit the tournament torch which was followed by march past from all the contingents. He also declared the tournament open. The inaugural function was chaired by Wangshikokla. Welcome address was delivered by Vice Principal, GHSS, Phek. Oath Taking was administered by Neihite Akami, GHSS, Phek.
