To celebrate a more meaningful Christmas this winter, the Global Shapers Kohima Hub is initiating a project called 'The Joy of Giving' where it invites well wishers to contribute a gift pack for children from less-privileged homes.
The approach of winter for the more fortunate brings with it the welcome prospects of meals that are over--eaten, gatherings that don’t last nearly long enough, fond memories that are constantly replaced by fonder ones still, and the assurance of warmth all around. This winter, the Global Shapers invite you to share this joy and warmth with children from less-privileged homes within Kohima town by being a part of its initiative, ‘The Joy of Giving’. This will entail putting together gift packs with clothing items, toys, chocolates, or other items contributed by you, and most crucially, each with a personalized note penned by the giver for the child receiving their hamper.
The Kohima Hub believes that as the giver prepare and send out these packages, the real gift for these children will be the joy and hope they find in the generosity and love, even if from afar.
The collection points for the gift packs are Ozone Cafe, D'Cafe & COZ Cafe. The deadline for the collection is on November 31, 2017.
