“Go Cashless, Go Digital”

Kohima, December 12 (DIPR): Digi Dhan Mela is being held near Civil Secretariat from December 12 to 18. Department of Information Technology & Communication has organized the Mela with the theme “Go Cashless, Go Digital.” Parliamentary Secretary for IT&C, Dr. Longrineken graced the inaugural function as the chief guest.  

Dr. Longrineken said the event is being organized as part of the series of public awareness camps to promote and publicize various digital payment options in the country and the Melas aim to spread awareness among customers and merchants on various digital payment methods.  

He appealed to all to be agile and innovative, “We must adapt an attitude and mindset that is receptive to ICT based administration and ICT based delivery of services.”  

The event is a part of Digital India, an initiative of the Government of India ‘to go cashless and go digital.’ Various services available are Mobile bill payments & recharge, Aadhaar correction, Pan Card services, Indian Passport services, Online GPF and Mobile- Aadhaar linking.
