GoI to invite NNPGs for talks, formal invitation letter awaited

Morung Express News Dimapur | September 8 The Government of India (GoI) is reportedly going to invite the Working Group (WG) of the NNPGs, a conglomeration of six Naga National political groups, to begin political talks. However, the latter stated that they are yet to receive a formal invitation for talks to resolve the long drawn Naga issue. “Yes they (GoI) will be inviting us but we have not received any formal letter as of now,” said a source from the MIP, GPRN/NSCN, one of the NNPGs. It may be mentioned that the GoI’s interlocutor for the Naga Peace Talks RN Ravi has been consistently reported to have stated in various media reports that the GoI’s position has been that the peace process and the solution to the Naga issue needs to be inclusive. He has been quoted to have said that there is only one peace process, which is inclusive and eventually there will be only one agreement.
