DIMAPUR, AUGUST 2 (MExN): The Department of Youth Resources & Sports has informed all sportsperson, coaches, sports administrators and institutes/academies (Government/Non-Government) that the Government of Nagaland has reintroduce a Special Scheme called ‘Dr. T. Ao State Sports Awards’ to be given every year at the Raj Bhavan in Kohima on August 15. A notification from the department stated that nomination for this award can be made to the Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, Kohima, Nagaland by submitting all supporting documents and certificates and justification papers through the sports association under the signature of the President and General Secretary/Honorary Secretary on or before August 7.
The concerned sports association or Nagaland Olympic Association must submit a report of the performance of the athlete with detailed explanation and justifications on why it feels that the athlete deserves to receive the award. If any misleading OV manipulated information is found while nominating athlete by the Sports Association action will be initiated against them, the notice further cautioned.
