Govt takes measure to protect department land

Mokokchung, April 4 (DIPR): The monthly meeting of Mokokchung District Planning and Development (DPDB) was held on April 4 at the Conference Hall of ADC Planning Mokokchung. Welcoming the members to the meeting, Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS, by bringing the agenda on land issue informed the house that a circular have been received from the government to protect the department’s land, whereby he asked all the heads of offices to fence the office boundary as well as land which is allotted to the department so as to protect from encroachment and other unwanted issues. DC also informed the departments to submit to the district administration whatever documents is available regarding the land acquired by the department so that district administration could documented and issue patta to the departments. 

The meeting also discussed on the problems of drainage system in the town which cause hardship to the people in many localities during the rainy season. On this the DC requested the department of PWD and other concern departments to give extra effort to ensure that citizens in the town do not face hardship due to blocking of drainage system, nullah etc. In the meeting Medical Superintendant IMDH, Dr. Medem gave report on the Disability Certification Camp held at Tuli and Changtongya on April 1.
