GPRN/NSCN on Dec 27 incident at Khamlang village

In the afternoon of 27th December 2010 at around 1.45pm the Naga army uprooted the one and only camp belonging to the NSCN(IM) gangs at Khamlang village under Changlang district and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition which include 2 (two) AK series rifle, 1 (one ) M-16 rifle, 1 (one ) .32 pistol, 1 (one) air gun, 5 (five) crude bombs, 1(one) magazine of AK assault rifle, 12 (twelve)  mobile handsets, 2 (two) radio Transmitter, 05,60,000.00 (five lakhs sixty thousand) cash of extorted money and several demand notes addressed to the local leaders. The entire camp made up of bamboo and thatch roof including bunkers were destroyed. Atleast 2 (two) muivah gangs were killed and 5(five) of them seriously injured in the attack. Yesterday, in yet another attack at Longkhao village under Tirap district the Naga Army recovered a Sten gun with 30 (thirty rounds) of ammunition and a AK Magazine. During the encounter one of the Muivah gang was seriously injured. Earlier, the Naga Army raided some of the Muivah gangs hide out and apprehended 2 (two) of their activist a surgeon and a Lance corporal in Tirap district. This was in retaliation to the earlier incidents involving Muivah Gangs were in they killed one of our Rajapeyu, Late Zaremo Lotha, on August 26, at Mekokla under Wokha district, killing of Late Lt. Ngampang on 6th march at Khonsa, under Tirap district, brutal torture of khapur Mr. Ahose on oct.14 in Chumukedima, Forceful abduction of our cadres along with arms and ammunition on sep.12 from Tesari region.
It is unfortunate that, even after the Covenant of Reconciliation signed at the highest level and the subsequent meetings and interaction at the various levels involving the civil societies the Muivah gang continued their policy of killing and bloodbath unabated among the Naga brethrens, in complete disregard to the Naga people. Therefore, the Naga Army was moved out to check and control the crimes committed by the gangster in the areas. It is, completely an act of defense by the Naga Army from the criminals who are bent on sucking the blood of the Nagas and not at all an offensive. Had they not committed the crimes post, the Covenant of Reconciliation, the situation would have been completely different. The Muivah boys are squarely responsible for everything that is unfolding today and we vow that, we will not hesitate to go to any extent to defend our people and our land from the criminals.
