Kohima, September 9 (MExN): The Electrical Inspectorate as the Nagaland State Designated Agency (NSDA) carried out the Green Village Initiative in Khuzama, Kohima on August 30. The Chief Electrical Inspector, Er. I.V. Chishi delivered the introductory speech. A demonstration on energy savings was carried out by Er. Kevingukho, Assistant Electrical Inspector, which was an eye opener for the gathering on how energy is conserved by usage of LED bulbs, informed a press release. The Village Council Chairman in his short speech thanked the Department for conducting the programme in the village. The Department distributed LED bulbs, T5 tube lights and streetlights as encouragement for conserving energy and creating awareness, the release added. The programme was chaired by Er. P.T. Philip, Senior Electrical Inspector and vote of thanks was delivered by Er. T.K. Halder, Electrical Inspector.
