K-Pop boy group MustB and solo artiste LiveYubin will be headlining Day 04 of the Hornbill Music Festival titled ‘Hallyu 2.0’ at Agri Expo, 4th mile, Dimapur. The artistes landed in Dimapur this evening to a crowd of cheering fans.

They were whisked away to Niathu Resort, Dimapur, where they addressed a press conference. The artistes appreciated the invite and expressed happiness to be in Nagaland. It is their first visit to India, they said while one of the members from MustB quipped, “From the time we landed here in Dimapur, we got a lot of positive energy from the fans.”

Talking about their upcoming performances, the artistes said they have worked hard to perform here and are looking forward to make it memorable.

Earlier, Dr Eunjoo Lim, CEO of Kiwa Enterprise who manages the artistes, revealed that along with Kiwa Enterprise, Government of Nagaland, Live Now Events, MustM and Rockin’ Korea collaborated to bring the musicians together. She said it was a long term plan with the people of Nagaland to have a relationship, connecting through different cultures, with music as the medium.

They will be coming up with new concepts and experiments in the future, Dr Lim said.

She also said that prior to their visit, they studied about India and Nagaland, the Hornbill Festival and have accordingly selected songs for the K-pop fans here.

Sharing about their journey, one of the band members said that he almost missed the flight after his passport was misplaced in another flight, sighing a relief, “but it was sorted.”

LiveYubin described Nagaland as very similar to his home Jeju Island. “It feels really good, with fresh air and the surroundings,” Yubi said, while adding he believed India has a bright future and would “love to come again and again if invited.”

Meanwhile, the five-member group will be performing popular cover songs together, while each member will also perform their own solo acts “specially prepared for Nagaland.” The group will also be performing a new single.

They made their debut on January 21 this year with their single “I want U,” a lively dance song about first love. They are currently preparing their second album.

LiveYubin, on the other hand, won at the ‘1st Kim Hyunsik Music Festival’ as a singer-songwriter and is a busking star with more than 4 million views on YouTube through busking performances.

The artistes said they have worked really hard to perform for Nagaland. “It is a secret,” they quipped on being asked what they were going to perform. “We have a special message for Nagaland, come and watch us. We are looking forward to making happy memories.”

The fans also interacted with the artistes at a fan-meet held after the press conference.
