H&FW department informs on ‘Self Declaration COVID-19 Nagaland App’

Kohima, April 7 (MExN): The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland directed that all the health officials to ensure that ’Self Declaration COVID-19 Nagaland App’ is downloaded in a person’s mobile phone and registration process is completed before declaring any individual is put on Home Quarantine.

All persons who are put under Home Quarantine shall comply with the following measures:


•    To download the ‘Self Declaration COVID-19 Nagaland App’ in his/her mobile phone and complete the registration process and switch ‘ON’ the GPS facility of smart phone.


•    He/She should always keep his/her mobile phone in ‘ON’ mode with GPS enabled till he/she is released from Home Quarantine Period.


•    Those who are not in possession of smart phone, shall seek the support of the ASHA/ANM/School Teacher or any person in possession of smart phone for Self-Declaration in case of having symptoms (Fever and Cough and/or Shortness of breath) through Community Reporting.


•    To update the health status daily in the App, using Home Quarantine tab.


•    To answer phone calls from the control room/surveillance team.


•    To cooperate with the surveillance team during home visits.


•    To strictly follow the Guideline on Home Quarantine, vide DHFW/COVID-19/2019-20/ 689-97 dt. March 21.


•    Any act of non-compliance shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable as per the provisions of the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897.

 

Updated version available

The Department in a separate release also informed that the updated version of the app (Version 3.0) has been released and can be downloaded from a link on its website. (Check here)

 

To use the updated version, the user has to uninstall the old version before installing the new version.

 

“Log in with the registered mobile number and need not re-enter the declaration details. On the App Dashboard, go to Home Quarantine, report daily health status till date followed by the remaining days of the quarantine period daily,” stated a notification from H&FW Principal Director Dr Vizolie Z Suokhrie.

 

“ Phone GPS has to be mandatorily enabled to submit the daily health status successfully,” it said.

 

“Please note that failure to comply to the above instructions will attract penal provision under relevant Acts & Regulations,” it added.
