Highland Hall School celebrates 10th anniversary

Dimapur, November 1 (MExN): Highland Hall School, Naga United Village, Dimapur observed the 10th anniversary cum parents’ day in the school on October 31 with V. Lovitoly Sema, ADC Niuland as chief guest.  

“A child without education is like a bird without wings. It is the most important weapon that one can use to change the society. Student needs to grasps the opportunity whatever comes your way, and this will carry you in a long run,” the chief guest stated in her speech. “Dream, plan, believe and act on it, and you will succeed in life, what teachers teach the students today will the fruits for tomorrow. And parents also should not compare your child with others, every child is unique,” she added.  

Pastor Larson, Pentecostal church, invokes God’s blessing, followed by candle lightings by the chief guest and the board members, informed a press release received here.  

Kezhaleno Phira, Administrator of the school gave the introduction of the school with screen show of the yester years and now. Other speakers were Ihoto Achumi, parents representative also spoke and said that to strengthen and to make a good school in the area, the contribution of the village council is very important. Dr Aotoshi and Dr C. Tetseo, Board members also spoke on the achievement of the school since inception till now.  

Students of various standards performed colourful items and entertained the parents and invitees in the form of dances, singing, choreography, poem recitation etc and enthralled the crowd. Narayan Das, Headmaster proposed vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with a song ‘We are the World.’
