Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): Hollotoli School celebrated its annual day on November 16 and 17, for Junior and Senior School respectively in the School Auditorium.
On first day, the programme organised by the Junior School, started with the choir song by class 2 students followed by welcome speech by Principal, Suparna Roy Choudhury. This session featured the performances by the little ones. The dance performance displayed a fusion of various cultures and the Junior Choir performed classic songs. This was followed by the prize-distribution ceremony where the Head-mistress and Principal gave away prizes to the meritorious students of the Junior School. The programme ended with the enactment of a Hindi play by the students of class 4 and 5 on the theme ‘Greed leads to destruction’.
The Senior School annual day celebration followed the next day. The event was graced by the welcome note by the Chairman, Moses Tokheho. The event was followed by the presentation of a musical piece, the Fusion Dance, and the group songs, leading to prize distribution ceremony for the senior school students. The prizes were given to the students securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd position for the session 2017-18. The School Colors were presented to academically meritorious students for their excellent performance in the board exams, as well as to the students who had brought the laurels to the school in various competitions, contests, performing arts and sports.
The Cock-House Shield’ for the session 2017-18 was won by the Jupiter House. It was followed by enactment of the English play – ‘Merchant of Venice’.
