Kiphire, July 22 (MExN): Holy Cross High School lifted the trophy and certificate beating Saramati High School in the inter school (private) volleyball match held at the local ground here on July 21. Altogether, 9 schools participated in the event organized by the Kiphire District Private School Society (KDPSS).
Speaking at the inaugural, president of KDPSS Thomas Mathew called upon the participants to take part with true spirit of sportsmanship. He also encouraged the teams to exhibit one’s talent in a platform like this so that one is elevated to higher level.
Citing the legendary Naga sportsman T Ao, the president also asked the students to be small T Ao in their respective field to bring pride to the district and the state.
KDPSS Program Secretary Lipichem, who chaired the event, said the objective of the tournament was to bring each other closer to foster better understanding amongst the students and the institutions.
