Hornbill Music Festival 2019: India’s biggest music festival

As part of Hornbill Festival 2019, Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland has came out with calendar of musical events for ten days from December 1 to 10.


The music festival, tagged as “The Experiential Festival” is the India’s biggest music festival.


TaFMA advisor Theja Meru informed that 50 plus bands across the country including Hungary, Korea and Indonesia will perform in Kisama, Kohima and Dimapur.


TaFMA has been entrusted to take care of music events of Hornbill festival.


Casio India will be the associate sponsor of Hornbill Music Festival with Mahindra, Gaana, Epiphone as event partner and Red FM India and Rolling Stone, India as radio and magazine partner respectively.


Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) will also be partnering with TaFMA for the music festival.


At the initiative of ICCR, Borsa Band will perform at main venue Kisama on December 4 and 5.


The events in Dimapur will be managed by Livenow Events at Agri Expo, 4th Mile Dimapur.


Musical evening with Padma Bhushan & Grammy Award winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt have been scheduled on December 3 at RCEMPA Jotsoma.


MUSTB, Korea will perform in Dimapur on December 4. The members of MUSTB include Taegeon, Sihoo, Doha, Soohyun and Woodyeon.


Meru said that more than 100 musicians will also perform in café and hotels at Kohima for 10 days.


Lords of Rock will perform at Kisama main arena on December 9.
