Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): The ICFAI University, Department of Management organized an industrial tour to Shillong, Meghalaya from April 6 to 9 for the MBA students with the focus on developing the entrepreneurial skills and understanding the importance of tourism, considering the fact that Nagaland has a lot of untapped potentials in terms of tourism and establishing small scale industries.
A press release issued by Wapangsenla Imchen, Asst. Professor and HoD Department of Management stated that the visit to the industrial estate was a great opportunity for the students in gaining knowledge into the realities of business world, especially that of local entrepreneurship.
The tour was undertaken by 13 MBA students, accompanied by three faculty, Wapangsenla Imchen, Asst. Professor and HoD Department of Management, Azono Khato, Assistant Professor Department of English and Neisal Theyo, Assistant Professor, department of Management and was coordinated and assisted by Dean Ryngdhm.
The team visited RNB Cements Pvt. Ltd (Magic Cement); Meghalaya Polymers Pvt. Ltd Shillong; Shillong Veneer Products cum Saw Mill; MDH Beverages Pvt. Ltd; Premier Roller Flour Mills & Premier Bakery and also tourist spots
At Cherrapunjee the team visited Thangkharang Park; Mawsmai Nongthymmai Elaka Krem Pubon Cave; Dorbar Pdengshnong Sohra-Twa Cave; Maw Trop Giant Basket; and The Seven Sister Falls.
