Importance of wildlife highlighted at Peren DPDB

Peren, September 11 (MExN): District planning and Development Board Peren meeting was held on September 11 at DC’s Conference Hall, New DC Complex Peren under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman DPDB and DC, S. Tainiu.

 

According to a DIPR report, at the outset, S. Tainiu welcomed DPDB members and also thanked all District officers of various departments for their contributions during the last August 15 Independence Day Celebration. New member, Menlom Phom, EAC was introduced to the House.

 

Agendas put up for discussion were opening of Yettrang Academy at Athibung, Upgradation of Govt. Primary to High School, Creation of SDAO office at Athibung, Upgradation of CHC Jalukie to 50 Bedded. DC Peren, S. Tainiu informed the DPDB members in regard to CM Relief fund that Peren District will have to cover up Rs. 5,00,000/ out of which she will contribute Rs. 2,00,000/- and the remaining Rs 3,00,000/- should come from various departments to be submitted shortly. Creation of SDAO office at Athibung and Opening of Yettrang Academy were referred to respective departments for status report in the next meeting.

 

DFO Jalukie, Sentitula briefed about the importance of wildlife in the District and also informed the DPDB members about the standing order of ban on hunting in Peren District. She also said that village councils should be informed to seriously deal with this issue. Upgradation of Ramzie School Jalukie from primary to elementary was recommended for approval. LADP schemes for 6 Tening A/C and 7 A/C Peren for 2018-19 was approved by DPDB. In conclusion, DC Peren, S. Tainiu thanked all members for making it convenient to attend the meeting and also requested to do the same for the next meeting.
