DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Emlo-To Public Organisation (EPO) today informed that it will impose an indefinite bandh on vehicular movement from Pukhobokita to Kithsakita (Coco-Doyang road) form 26 September. A press note from the EPO stated that the bandh will effect all vehicles plying the state highway via Kithsakita.
Administration, Police, Para Military and medical emergencies are however exempted. The EPO said it is compelled to resort to impose the bandh due to the government’s failure to respond to the demand for immediate road maintenance. The EPO’s ultimatum on this issue expired on September, 15. “The EPO kept in abeyance its dateline waiting patiently for the government to respond,” it added. However no positive step or approach has been initiated by the government/department till date, the EPO said. It meanwhile appealed to the public to cooperate and bear with the inconveniences during the bandh.
