Nagaland’s Youth Resources & Sports Advisor Er. Zale Neikha today inspected the ongoing preparations for the upcoming North East Dr. T. Ao Trophy 2020 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
The tournament, sponsored by North Eastern Council and Nagaland’s state youth resources & sports department in collaboration with Nagaland Football Association will start from January 18 till 28.
Er. Neikha expressed satisfaction over the ongoing work and further requested the departmental officials to equip the Stadium with all necessary fitting and complete the work on time.
He said that state is all geared up to host the tournament and has formed a committee headed by Chief Secretary to work out the modalities for the success of the tournament. He informed that the state government was all set to host the trophy.
He had a brief interaction with Nagaland team who are currently undergoing rigorous training at IG Stadium.
The advisor requested the players to be discipline and play with team spirit.
While expressing high hope of winning the coveted trophy, Er. Neikha said all eyes will be on the host team and at the same time extended best wishes to the state team. The state team is led by Roko Angami as team coach with Colo Mero as team manager.
