HORUA announces Nagaland Open Volleyball Tourney in December

Organized by the HORUA Welfare Society, Indisen, Dimapur, an All Nagaland Open Volleyball Tournament would be held on December 12-13 at Indisen Public Ground.

The tournament is only for male category and open to all indigenous inhabitants of the state. The matches would be played day and night on a league basis. 

Organizers informed media persons in Dimapur on Thursday that the Champion would pocket a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and the runner up would go home with Rs 60, 000. The 3rd and 4th placed teams would receive Rs 20, 000 each. Rs 5000 each would be awarded to individual prize winners including Best Player, Best Spiker and Best Setter.

The organizers also informed that Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, Er. Zalie Neikha would grace the opening ceremony on December 12 at 2:00 pm while MLA Moatoshi Longkumer would be the special guest during the closing ceremony on December 13.

HORUA Welfare Society is a newly formed Non-Profit Organization founded by like-minded individuals from Indisen with the primary objective of focussing on the upliftment of underprivileged youth and children by providing all necessary handholding support. HORUA is derived from Ao dialect meaning “Multiple Attachment.”
