KVC bars entry of visitors to Kohima Village

KOHIMA, MARCH 25 (MExN): The Kohima Village Council (KVC) today informed that entry of visitors into Kohima Village will be banned while advising all students, business people, anyone coming home from outside the State to confine themselves to compulsory quarantine for 14 days. 

A press release from the KVC Chairman, Dr Neiphi Kire and Secretary, Zeneizo Rutsa further informed that all taxis (regional, local, KVYO) vehicles, other than those belonging to Kohima Village, shall not be allowed to cross the Village.

“No gathering of people will be allowed. Movement of public will be restricted and people must stay at home. All business establishments except groceries and pharmacies will be closed. All booze joints will be closed,” it added.

The KVC further decided that hand washing facilities will be arranged at suitable locations and directed all people to strictly adhere to the government orders and directives. It cautioned that violators will be “stringently dealt with.”
