Ranji Trophy: Puducherry lead Nagaland by 341 runs

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 13 (MExN): Puducherry lead Nagaland by 341 runs at the end of day 2 of their Ranji Trophy encounter on February 13. 

Following Nagaland’s 176 run total in their first innings, Puducherry were at 517 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 117 overs on day 2. 

PK Dogra was their top scorer with 125 runs, followed by S Karthik with 98 runs. Sagar and David also contributed 79 and 70 runs respectively. 


Women’s U-23s beat Manipur

In the Women’s Under-23 One Day Trophy, Nagaland defeated Manipur by 167 runs at Ravenshaw University Ground 2, Cuttack.

Batting first, Nagaland scored 220 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. Munia was Nagaland’s highest scorer with 44 runs. 

Manipur meanwhile were bowled out for a mere 53 runs in just 22.4 overs. 

Sariba and Ananya from Nagaland bagged 3 wickets each while Merensola took 2 wickets. 

Meanwhile the last league match of the Plate group of the Under 23 CK Nayudu trophy between Nagaland and Orissa will be played at NCA Stadium, Sovima from February 14 to 17.
