T20 WCC Wokha: Tritons CC & Hercules CC register wins


T Kikon, former Law and justice Minister of Nagaland is seen gracing the players of GAPYOCC at the second match of the ongoing 24th edition of WCC at Wokha on January 14.


Wokha, January 14 (MExN):  Tritons CC and Hercules CC today registered wins at the ongoing 24th edition of T20 Winter Cricket Challenge (WCC) at Local Ground Wokha.


In the first match of the day, Tritons chasing a target of 104 run (18.3 overs) overcame the task in 17.3 overs to win by five wickets. Tritons' Wapang (33 runs) was awarded the man of the match.


It was a one-sided affair in the second match as Hercules reached the 139 runs target set by GAPYOCC in just in 13.1 overs.


GAPYOCC’s Lijanbemo Patton (62 runs), and Tapitu (41 runs) led score for the team. 


However, it was the swashbuckling 50 runs by Hercules’ opening batsman Daniel Gogoi in 19 delivers that took away the game from GAPYOCC. It was the fastest half century in the 24th edition of WCC.


Gogoi eventually ended the day with 58 runs in 22 deliveries and was adjudged the man of the match.
Vijay and Daniel also contributed 19 runs and 15 runs respectively for Hercules.
