Induction cum Orientation Programme at MITE Kohima

Kohima, August 2 (MExN): The Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) Kohima held its Induction cum Orientation Programme for the new B.Ed student-teachers for the Session 2017-19 on July 27 at the institute’s auditorium.  

Devanand Sinha, the Principal welcomed the new student-teachers with a note on the various activities progressing in the institute.  

The Vice-Principal of the institute also informed about the rules and regulation of the institute, while Pelee Hekha, the Managing Director during a brief introduction on IQAC deliberated on the importance and essence of quality development of the institute through NAAC assessment.  

Likhyano Humtsoe, a 3rd Semester student also shared on the varied experiences of her one year study in MITE and orientation on the course contents were given by the respective faculty members after the formal session of Induction for Semester I&III, informed a press note from MITE Principal.  

The Induction Programme also witnessed parents and guardians of the student-teachers interacting with the Managing Director and faculty of the institute, the first of its kind in the MITE journey, it said.  

An Orientation Programme on ‘Mentoring’ for the faculty members of MITE was also held along with Dr. Zavise Rume, Associate Professor, SCERT & State Nodal Officer for North East Career Cub, as the resource person at the institute’s conference hall on July 26, it added.
