Wokha, December 1 (MExN): DICE Foundation and Team Metamorphosis in association with Beti Bachao Bedi Padhao (BBBP) under Wokha district administration hosted the first-ever International Kids Film Festival (IKFF) at Town Hall, Wokha, Nagaland, in collaboration with LXL, an education consultant based in Bangalore.


Declaring the film festival open, special guest Mhathung Tsanglao (NCS) ADC Wokha acknowledged the organizers in bringing the first of its kind in the district where he stated that education system needs to be transformed where it will automatically transform the society, a press release from Abenthung Kikon stated.


Tsanglao expressed that ‘Education is not confined to four walls of school classroom,’ while encouraging the students that learning is a continuous process. He further informed the students to get visual knowledge which is healthy and that are related to education, social life, family and friends.


Zubeni Ngullie shared about the LXL and IKFF Ideas that has enormous educational potential with an objective to create a learning experience for students, parents and educators by taking education beyond the conventional school setting, with an aim to expose students to different cultures, emotions, ideas and entertain as well as inspire them through cinema. 


Lower section students from Wokha district watched innovative animated movies while the upper section students watched short videos in the afternoon.


Zanabeni Kikon, DICE foundation delivered a welcome note, while team from BBBP and One Stop- Sakhi Wokha delivered on girl child’s education as well as empowerment and social discrimination of women.


The programme was invoked by C Motsuthung Tsopoe, Christian education and communication secretary, LBCA while Thungdemo Kyong Team Metamorphosis extended vote of thanks.
