IPR Parliamentary Secy interacts with officials

Kohima, April 28 (DIPR): The new Parliamentary Secretary for Information & Public Relations, Imtikumzuk interacted with the Department officials and district officers on April 28 at the Officer’s Conference Hall, DIPR.  

Speaking on the occasion, he asked all the officers and the subordinate staff of the department to work hand in hand so as to contribute something good for the department in particular and the general public at large. Since IPR is the nodal Department to disseminate the right information to the masses, the main intention of the department should be reaching out to the people on time and letting them know what exactly the department has been doing for public service, he said.  

He urged the officers and staff to attend office on time and render quality services for the public adding that working for the government means working for the people. He asked the department to maintain good rapport and act as a liaison between the government and the general public. He also mentioned about the frequent changes of Parliamentary Secretaries and senior officers at the top level in the Department due to which things which are to be done on time may suffer some setback. However, he expressed hope and optimism that many things can be achieved through unity and by maintaining cordial relationship among ourselves.  

Commissioner & Secretary, IPR, Wopen Lotha said that IPR department has been rendering yeoman’s service to the people. He expressed hope that the new Parliamentary Secretary would give full cooperation to the officers and staff of the department.   Director, IPR, Limawati Ao chaired the programme while Joint Director, Tokishe Sema gave an overview activities of the department.
