JCC bandh to continue

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 16 (MExN): The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) today informed that it would not relax the bandh despite the Chief Minister’s appeal.

“JCC will not allow itself to be tricked once again by such treacherous and coward leader, who has failed to show any iota true leadership character,” it stated in a press note.

The JCC also expressed shock at the threat meted out by the NPF to the government employees and stated that “every Naga is morally obligated and duty bound to support this people’s movement including NPF party workers if they have any patriot blood left in them…”

It further expressed disappointment in the manner in which the Governor has handled the situation, and said that the “Governor’s neutrality on this matter is doubtful.”

It asked the Governor to “clarify his position to the Naga people whether he is the actual head of state or an agent of TR Zeliang.”

The JCC meanwhile thanked the Sumi Student Union Dimapur for providing free bus services to the students appearing exams and asked volunteers to allow these buses to ply freely.

It further appreciated the NBCC for their concern of the current imbroglio and taking trouble to come all the way to Dimapur to have prayer and fellowship with JCC and the Volunteers.
