JD (U) Nagaland officials meet Nitish Kumar

New Delhi, January 27 (MExN): The Janata Dal (United) Nagaland led by its president, NSN Lotha and chairman of Election Campaign Committee, YM Humtsoe today met the party president, Nitish Kumar and other party functionaries to finalise various issues pertaining to the Nagaland General Elections slated for February 27.

  A press statement from Afaque Ahmad Khan, Secretary, JD (U) further informed that in the past two days, leadership of the JD (U), NPF and NDPP have had discussions. The discussions centred on the matter of pre-poll alliance and the number of seats to be contested, it said.  

After a long deliberation on the prevailing circumstances vis-a-vis the last five years regime of Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) where the JD (U) was also a part of it, the national president has decided to endorse the whole issue of electioneering matter to the State Unit, the statement added.
