A charity event called ‘The Joy of Giving’ will be held at The Garden, Supermarket in Dimapur on November 11 from 10:00 am onwards. The proceeds from the event will go for the education of less privileged children around Supermarket. Some of the entrepreneurs helping with the event by running stalls to support the cause are ‘Angry Mother Soap’ and ‘Amonar Tea.’ The event will also feature performances by Yellow Beacon, 3’S Company, The Gluttons, Mountain Music Academy, The Jam Tree Ensemble, Ronnie and Moasenla. The event is being supported by Red Connection and Kids Worship Centre. Drop Point for donation is The Garden, Supermarket. ‘The Joy of Giving’ is a movement that is spearheaded by a team of young artists, entrepreneurs and social workers who aim to “impact society through educating and mentoring underprivileged children.” Each year since its establishment in 2014, the group has helped underprivileged children through benefit concerts.
