JSSN distributes 1230 educational kits to govt schools

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): Janjati Shiksha Samiti, Nagaland (JSSN) distributed 1230 educational kits (school bag, Geometry box, pencil box) to students within 23 villages in 24 government primary schools/government middle schools of  Kiphire, Mon, Longleng, Tuensang, Mokokchung, Peren and Dimapur districts under the permission of Director of Education.


A press release from its Publicity Department stated Janjati Shiksha Samiti, Nagaland is a society registered Socio-Educational organization and running formal and non-formal institutions in Nagaland.


JSSN organizing secretary Pankaj Sinha and Executive member Lanuwapang Tzudir visited 5 villages of Kiphire district, 4 villages of Mon district, 5 villages of Longleng district, 5 villages of Tuensang district, 2 villages of Mokokchung district and one village each of Peren and Dimapur district from July 21 to August 7 and distributed educational kit to every student.


The Area education officers guided JSSN team along with the villagers.


Appreciating their selfless service, the teachers and SMC Chairman along with GB said that it was the first time, an NGO team visited GPS/GMS and distributed school kit without help from government, the release added.


In every school the team sat together with teaching staff and discussed on what should be the positive mentality of a teacher.


Addressing that the teachers should develop a mentality of honesty, and that it was our own work not government's work. The teachers should develop the techniques for an ideal teaching-learning process from time to time through teachers training.


The organizing secretary motivated the GPS/GMS institutions to develop or build like a private education institution. Why the children of officers, ministers, rich persons etc cannot take admission in GPS/GMS.


The team encouraged the teachers that they would together produce advanced and better students from the GPS/GMS institutions through different type of competitions, games & sports.
