Jungle clearing to effect power supply in Dimapur
Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): Power supply to several localities in Dimapur will be affected for few hours on January 17 and 18 due to a jungle clearing along 11 KV Feeders and LT distribution networks, an official informed today.
The Department of Power (DoP), Dimapur Electrical Division is planning to undertake the clearance between 7:00 am to 12 noon during the aforesaid days, informed a press release from Er Imsenkaba, the division’s Executive Engineer.
The clearance is being done before the onset of the windy and rainy season where the 11 KV feeders and LT distribution networks gets severely affected, hampering stable power supply to the consumers, he said, further urging the consumers to bear with the Department.
Noting that the DoP and the various communities or councils has always worked in close co-ordination for the welfare and upliftment of the society, he further anticipated and requested the same gesture from their respective residents and consumers in undertaking the task.
Also requesting for volunteers in clearing the jungle or obstacles, the EE said that it would not only be of great help to the department but will ensure stable power supply to the consumers.
