Miss Nagaland 2014 1st Runner up Kaheli Chophy was selected as the Femina Miss India Nagaland 2017 at the Femina Miss India Auditons which was held at Guwahati, Assam on March 19. Miss Nagaland 2016 Vilokali Zhimomi and Miss Mokokchung 2015 Ayusangla also made it to the top 3 list. Femina, a part of the Times of India Group introduced a new system where Femina will be selecting a winner from each State as to have equal representation of all the Indian States. The official crowning for the North Eastern States will be held at Kolkata. BASN in a press release informed that Kaheli Chophy who is the present Election Icon for Zunheboto District was also adjudged as the 1st Runner up at the Ponds Electic Model Hunt 2015. She will represent Nagaland at the Femina Miss India finals to be held at Mumbai.
