Longleng, September 16 (DIPR): District Level Kala Utsav Competition 2017 was held at Auditorium GHSS Longleng on September 14. Joint Mission Director, RMSA, Visiezolie Yashu informed the gathering about the purpose of organizing the competition by the Ministry of Human Resources Development Government of India. Deputy Mission Director RMSA, Timothy Thong informed that Kala Utsav is an annual event for the students to participate and also to create awareness about its mission.
In the competition, six Government High School comprised of GHSS Longleng, GHS Namching, GHS Phomnyu, GHS Pongo, GHS Nyanching and GHS Yachem participated in the competition. The GHSS Longleng and GHS Namching bagged 1st and 2nd prize in the Theater category and while GHS Phomnyu and GHS Nyanching bagged 1st and 2nd prize respectively in the dance category. The winners of both the category will represent Longleng district in the state level competition in Kohima. Prize were awarded to both the winners and runners up.
