In view of the great revival programme at Imkongmeren Sports Complex organized by the Ao Baptist Church Council (ABAM) from November 1-3, 2017, the Kumlong Environment Committee (KEC) took upon itself to clean the sports complex to so that the congregation can sit in a clean and hygienic environment.

The revival programme, called Aoli Asentenshi, will be one of the biggest revival progammes among the Ao community after a long time. More than ten thousand believers from all the different villages, towns and districts are expected to attend the three day revival programme.

As a small contribution towards the preparations of revival programme, the Kumlong Environment Committee – which looks after sanitation efforts in Kumlong ward – decided to clean up the whole Imkongmeren Sports Complex. The only sports stadium in Mokokchung was littered with wastepaper, empty bottles and dirt. The stadium was also completely littered during the nearly month long MDFA Trophy 2017.

The KEC members, numbering more than thirty members, started cleaning up the stadium from 6:00 AM and swept, collected the trash and disposed it in the outskirt of the town. The Kumlong Ward Council also generously donated the ‘Sanitation Truck’ for disposing off the garbage. The KEC volunteers also constructed eleven waste bins inside the stadium for collecting the trash.

Meanwhile, the Kumlong Environment Committee expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers for their time and labour, and also to the Kumlong Ward Council for donating the ‘sanitation truck’ for clearing the garbage. The KEC officials also wished all the partakers of the great revival to have a joyful, meaningful and blessed time at the ‘Aoli Asentenshi’ programme.

The Revival programme is being organized by the Ao Baptist Church Council (ABAM) under the theme “Lord Revive us Again”. During the Revival programme, there will be 5 services. The main speakers will be, Rev. Maong, Rev. Imdangmeren, Rev. Lanuyanger, Rev. L. Kari Longchar and Rev. Kilang Jamir.
