Ziekezou FC defeated New Market FC by a solitary goal in today’s match of the ongoing 2nd edition of Kohima Football League here at Kohima Local Ground.
Ziekezou FC scored the winning goal through Neikethozo Yhome (7) in the 40th minute.
In the second half too Ziekezou dominated the game and made some quick attacks but Mhasibeituo Yhome (11) failed to find the free net in the 50th minute.
Even as he managed to beat rival custodian Lhiwete Koza and was around the six yard box, his shot went off mark for a goal-kick while couple of on target shots by Punürü Nienu (10) were excellently thwarted by Lhiwete. New Market FC meanwhile were unable to find an equalizer.
Angami Sports Association president Viliehu Nguzhü was the match patron for the day. There will be no match on July 20.
