Khriekesa, Ziekezou win in KFL

    Our Correspondent Kohima | August 19   Two stunning goals from Khrieneituo Kezieo led league leaders Khriekesa FC to a 4-1 victory over Forerunners' FC in the ongoing Kohima Football League here on Saturday.   With the win, Khriekesa FC remained on top of the league table with 10 points from 4 matches while Forerunners' FC slipped to the bottom with 2 points from 4 matches.   Khrieneituo opened the account for Khriekesa FC in the 8th minutes with a stunning free kick and doubled the lead scoring from another free kick in the 20th minutes.   Kekhriengulie Usou headed in from a corner kick in the 59th minute to make it 3-0.   Akum then pulled a goal back for Forerunners' FC in the 68th minutes but Petivozo Kezie-o finished off the game in the 87th minute as the match ended 4-1.   Ziekezou SC eased to a comfortable 3-0 win over United 16 FC in the second match to seal all three points.   Ziekezou started brightly and found the back of the net in the 12th minute through Keneinguze Pienyu who took advantage of United 16 defenders failing to clear the ball.   Ating Konyak then doubled the lead in the 33rd minutes with a tap-in after Keneinguze’s shot on goal was parried by the goalkeeper.   United 16 FC showed no signs of improvement in the second half, and substitute Kekhriesetuo Khro further added to their misery in added time as the match ended 3-0.   Khakevi Assumi of Ziekezou SC was cautioned with a yellow card during the match.
