KIN condemns murder

Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): The Kuki Inpi Nagaland has condemned the murder of Lunkholal Singson – an employee of the Veterinary Department who was found murdered at Mukhami village in Zunheboto district.

The body of Lunkholal Singson, a Veterinary Field Assistant posted in Zunheboto, was recovered in the wee hours of March 20 after he went missing on the night of March 17. Two youths have been arrested in this connection.

“No word is enough to condemn such beastly act of barbarism. No men with human heart will ever think of committing such act even to animals,” the KIN stated in a condemnation note while expressing shock at the “inhuman murder”.

The KIN added that it shares the same pain and grief with the bereaved family and further prayed for comfort and solace for the family.

Meanwhile, the KIN extended its sincere gratitude to leaders of Western Sumi Hoho, Sumi Hoho, VK Area GBs, Police, Administration, NGOs and people of VK Area who took all possible steps to trace the missing person and arresting the murderer.

In this connection, the Kuki Inpi asserted that no right thinking citizens should bail out the murderer. “If done so, it will only encourage such crimes,” it maintained. As such, the Inpi demanded that the murderer be given befitting punishment as per the law of the land.

Further pointing out that late Singson was the bread earner of the family, the KIN appealed the state government to give a job to his widow and that the monthly salary of the deceased be given to the family until the time of his retirement date as per his appointment records.
