Kiphire CMO laments absenteeism of staff in district hospital

Kiphire, September 16 (MExN): The monthly Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire on September 14. The meeting was chaired by DC Kiphire, Mohammed Ali Shahib, IAS. New members Dr. E.Motsuthung Patton, CMO and Toking Yimchunger, EAC gave their introduction to the board.


According to a DIPR report, the board discussed on the agenda of opening of Government Primary Schools in the newly recognized eight villages within Kiphire district. The house also discussed about the absentees of doctors and nurses in District Hospital Kiphire. CMO lamented that doctors and nurses are facing lots of difficulties due to shortage of staff and insufficient equipments. He urged the District Administration to look into the matter at the earliest. The District Administration also warned that salaries of those doctors and nurses who are not in station without genuine reason will be held up. Discussion was done on the posting of an officer in charge of Housing Department and also on the registration of Sitimi Town Sumi Community (STSC). The house approved and unanimously decided to forward to the Government for necessary action.
