Kiphire DLSA inducts Legal Literacy Club Members

Kiphire, September 16 (MExN): The Kiphire District Legal Service Authority conducted an inaugural cum induction training programme for Teacher-in-Charge and Legal Literacy Club Members on September 15 at DC Conference Hall Kiphire.  

Hotingkyu, Panel Lawyer spoke on the role and importance of the legal Literacy Club and constitutional values. He stated that the central aim of the LLC is to impart legal knowledge to the youngsters for a better generation and urged them to be enthusiastic for acquiring more experience in legal aspects. Asuthong, PLV spoke on the functions of the para-legal volunteers. He said that the volunteers work as a bridge between the common people and the court as well as other Government benefits provided to the people.  

In the second session, an interaction session was conducted.   Legal Literacy Club Members led by teacher-in-charge from GHS Phelunger; GHS Yangphi, Kiphire; GHS Amahator Town; El-Beth High School Kiphire and Cambridge High School Kiphire attended the programme Hotingkyu, Panel Lawyer, DLSA Kiphire stated in a press release.  

Earlier, Rebica, Project Assistant DLSA chaired the programme while Tsipongse, PLV addressed the welcome note. Meanwhile, computer and furniture set were provided to the LLC by the Nagaland State Legal Service Authority. The Programme was attended by 74 participants.
