Kiphire: Food Business Operators not in compliance with FSSAI

Kiphire, November 15 (MExN): District Level Steering Committee (DLSC) under Food Safety and Standards Act carried out surprise inspection of hotels, restaurants, bakeries, tea stalls, guest house, and other public eating places at Kiphire Town on November 15 to ensure safety of food at all levels.

 

The inspection team was headed by Food Safety Officer, Zhohu Puro and two EACs and three DBs and police personnel and CMO staffs. According to the Food Safety Officer, most of the Food Business Operators did not compliance with the Food Safety Standards Act of India. “An improvement notice will be served to the proprietors,” Puro stated. “Within the stipulated time, those who fail to comply with the Improvement Notice may result in suspension and further cancellation of food License,” Puro added.

 

EAC Kiphire Sangpangchang Longkumer also told the proprietors to strictly follow Food Safety and Standard Act and also warned that those who fail to comply with the order have to face the consequences. He reminded that a follow up inspection will be conducted after the given period.
