The 12-hour (5:00am to 5:00pm) first phase agitation by the United Sangtam Likhum Pumji (USLP), United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) and Akedah Sangtam Thsingmujanglaru (AST) in all Sangtam jurisdictions on February 17 went peacefully in Kiphire Town without reports of untoward incidents. The bandh was imposed on all shops and establishments, except students appearing exams, invigilators, security and medical personnel, in protest against the Nagaland State Government not fulfilling their charter of demands regarding the February 6 killings.
