KLB office building inaugurated

Dimapur, July 28 (MExN):  The Konyak Literature Board Office Building was inaugurated in Mon by the Parliamentary Secretary, Sericulture, Home Guard & CD E.E. Pangteang on July 27. EE Pangteang reminded the gathering that the language is a part of maintaining one's identity and need to strengthen the Literature Board in order to stand on its own feet.  

The importance of the role of Literature Board and need organize the Consultation on Promotion of Konyak Language in the near future was also stressed by all attendees.  

The Minister for Rural Development & REPA CL John; DUDA Advisor S N. Thongwang; Parliamentary Secretary CAWD YM Yollow; Advisor Bamboo Mission Naiba;  Deputy Commissioner Mon Honji Konyak; President Konyak Union Shri Manlip;  Executive Secretary KBBB Rev. M. Chemyuh;  Konyak Language Officer Nyeiang; Advisory Board members of the Konyak Union; Members of the Konyak Literature Board; and senior citizens of the Konyak community were also present in the occasion. The Chairman of the Konyak Literature Board Y. Manshah Konyak proposed a vote of thanks to E.E. Pangteang for the initiative taken for construction of the Literature Office Building and appreciated the Konyak elected members for their cooperation extended to complete the work.  

He also acknowledged the Deputy Commissioner Mon, KBBB, KU, well-wishers and participants of the function for their valuable service and encouragement.  

Earlier, a dedicatory prayer was offered by the former Literature Secretary Rev. Y. Chingang, according to a press note from Secretary, Konyak Literature Committee A. Peihwang Wangsa.
