Kohima dist VDB Union extends solidarity towards DRDAs demand

Kohima, August 25 (MExN): The Kohima District VDB Union extended its solidarity towards the DRDAs demand for justice from the state government.

The Union stated that the DRDA employees who have not received salary for the last 11-12 months “is not a joke.”
“It is their hard earned salary and should be paid immediately. They deserve to get regular salary as DRDAs staff are most regular in their duties compared with their counter part in other departments and they also work tirelessly for the poor people in rural areas even though their salary is not being paid,” stated John Kath, General Secretary, Kohima District VDB Union.

Also, due to the agitation of DRDAs, the function of the VDBs has been badly affected, Kath stated, further adding that if the state government does not solve the present problem with the DRDA employees at the earliest, all the VDBs will be compelled to move for justice against government.
