Kohima: Eight selected to represent the district

Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): Eight students from different schools have been selected to represent Kohima district in the State Level Parliamentary Quiz and Youth Parliament 2017 on October 19 and 20 at ATI, Kohima.  

They were selected after a district level competition held on October 6 at Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire GHSS Seikhazou.  

According to a press note received here, Renbi Patton of Mezhur Higher Secondary School and Mezienguno Nakhro of GHSS Jotsoma were selected for Youth Parliament while the remaining six will represent the district in the quiz competition.  

They are Shekulu Kezo (Mezhur Higher Secondary School); Tansoi and Imsujungla (Dr. N Kire GHSS); Kevimese Sale (John GHSS Viswema); Avituo Nagi (GHSS Jotsoma); and Isaya (Baptist High).  

Earlier, Dr. Bijano Murry a District Level Coordinator welcome the gathering and gave a brief report on the rules and proceedings of the competition.  

The quiz which was conducted by Rose Chishi covered topics on Modern Indian History, Indian Constitution and General Knowledge of Nagaland.
