Kohima Lotha Eloe Hoho team visits Meghalaya

Kohima, June 28 (MExN): Four-day training cum exposure trip to Shillong, Meghalaya for representatives of Kohima Lotha Eloe Hoho was held from June 19-22, sponsored by Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Kohima.   Altogether, 27 representatives of the Eloe Hoho from all colonies in Kohima led by the Hoho executives visited the Rural Resource and Training Centre (RRTC) at Umran, Ri Bhoi district, Meghalaya, informed a press release received here.  

At the RRTC, which is run as self sustaining farm with various demonstration units, the team visited the food processing unit, vermicomposting, fisheries with breeding unit, agri-horti nursery, beekeeping, poultry, piggery and dairy units.  

On the first day of the tour, they was briefed on the importance of self reliance through eco- friendly entrepreneurship by RRTC Director, Fr. James Mani, while Lister Lyngdoh Nongbri, Assistant Manager, Agriculture, RRTC elaborated on the various units and the implementation of the projects and programmes that can be practised by the team members.  

The team also visited the Don Bosco museum in Shillong, various tourist hotspots at Cherrapunji, and the Elephant Falls.
