Kohima, December 7(MExN): H. Sonojaoba Singh emerged as the winner of Kohima Open Half Marathon organized by 3E (Elite Entertainment Enterprise) as part of the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland.
He pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.
S. Pache Khiam and M. Thungti Chang stood second and third position and awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively.
This open marathon covered the 20 kms distance from TCP Gate-IG Stadium-Secretariat-Kohima Village-Local Ground.
Other 10 winners as per rank include N. Puchong Khiam, Lathong Yem, Asakho Joseph, Kumlipong Chang, L. Pakoi Khiam, Mecie Kenye, T. Sepong Sangtam, Vikuovolie Keyho, Redemo Lotha and Z. Hokugha Achumi.
Earlier, the open half marathon was flagged off by minister for urban development Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu while Abu Metha, press secretary to Chief Minister gave away the prizes to the winners.
