KSU warns of joining protest if govt does not resolve teachers grievances

DIMAPUR, JUNE 11 (MExN): The Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) on Monday warned that it would shut down all schools in Mon district and join the protest if the State Government does not resolve the grievances of the Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSTA) at the earliest. Expressing resentment over the delay in resolving the issue, the KSU in a press release on Monday pointed out that most of the government schools in Mon district are under the establishment of SSA, and the teachers participating in the agitation in Kohima has adversely affected the students. It said most of the schools are on the verging of closing down due to the absence of the teachers while with the mid-term examination approaching, syllabus is also yet to be covered.
