Addax FC beat Forerunners FC 3-0 in the inaugural match of the KTC Cup 2017 here on Friday.
Imlongchaba of Addax FC scored the 1st goal of the tournament in 9th minute before doubling the tally six minutes later. Shiirhosul added another goal for the team in the 72nd minutes to finish the game 3-0.
Yellow card was awarded to Neingurietuo of Forerunners' FC.
K. Neibou Sekhose, President, Kohima District Football Association graced the inaugural function of 1st KTC Cup 2017-cum- Kohima Football League Trophy as the special invitee.
He lauded the initiative of the Kohima Town Club (KTC) and congratulated the KFL 7017 champion Ziekezou Sporting Club, and said “may your team continue to shine even in other tournaments and bring laurels to the state.”
He called upon gathering to stop criticising the works of others and said that we all need to come together and contribute for the welfare of the state, especially for younger generation. “Together we can create a better world,” he said.
